What is a text randomizer?
A text randomizer changes the order of items in a list using a random shuffle algorithm. Paste your lines or words into the tool, choose a shuffle mode and click to get a new unpredictable order each time. The Spexo Text Randomizer uses the Fisher-Yates shuffle algorithm, which works by stepping through each item in the list and swapping it with a randomly chosen item from the remaining positions. This produces a statistically fair result where every possible order has an equal chance of occurring. Enter your text, pick a mode and click shuffle. The result updates immediately.- Enter your text. For lists, put each item on its own line. One line equals one entry in line mode.
- Choose a mode. Select Shuffle Lines / List to reorder whole lines. Select Shuffle Words to reorder individual words across the full text.
- Click Shuffle List Now. The randomized result appears in the output area. Click again to get a different order.
- Copy or download. Click Copy Result to copy the shuffled text. Click Download .txt to save the result as a file.
Shuffle lines vs shuffle words
Shuffle Lines / List treats each line break as a separator. Each line becomes one item in the shuffle. This is the right mode for name lists, question lists and bullet points. Shuffle Words treats each space as a separator and reorders every word in the text. This mode is less common but useful for generating varied word sequences from a fixed set of terms.
