Sidebar Management in the Spexo WordPress Theme
The Spexo Theme offers flexible sidebar options, allowing you to control the layout and visibility of sidebars across your website. Whether you’re customizing single blog posts, archive pages, or search results — Spexo makes it easy to configure and manage sidebar placement.
Enable Sidebar for the Entire Website #
The Sidebar option in your Customizer allows you to add sidebars across your entire website by setting Default Layout.
Steps:
- Go to your WordPress Dashboard
- Navigate to:
Appearance → Customize → Sidebar Settings
Here, you’ll find options to manage sidebar layouts for the following:
- Single Blog Post Sidebar
Set the sidebar position for single posts or post detail pages. - Archive Page Sidebar
Manage the layout for blog archives, category pages, and tags. - Search Results Page Sidebar
Control the sidebar layout for search results.
Sidebar Layout Options #
You can choose from the following sidebar layouts:
No Sidebar
This is the default selected option. Choose this if you do not want to display a sidebar on your website.
Right Sidebar
Displays the sidebar to the right of the main content.
Left Sidebar
Displays the sidebar to the left of the main content.
These layout options allow you to achieve the structure that best fits your website’s design and user experience.
Note:
If you’ve selected a sidebar layout but still don’t see the sidebar on the frontend, it’s likely because no widgets have been added to it yet.
You can fix this by going to Appearance → Widgets and adding widgets to the Sidebar widget area.

Add Widgets to Your Sidebar #
After choosing your layout, you need to populate the sidebar with widgets:
- Go to your WordPress Dashboard
- Navigate to:
Appearance → Customize → Widgets - Drag and drop widgets (e.g., Search, Categories, Recent Posts) into the sidebar area
Once done, your sidebar will display on the frontend based on the selected layout.
That’s it! Your sidebar is now ready.
